These two precious sisters brightened my afternoon the other day. Julia is bright, spunky, and almost four. In typical oldest girl fashion (and I’m allowed to say it because I am one), she was talking a mile a minute. She was also ready to lend a helping hand in getting her sister to look at the camera. Schuyler, who was quiet and almost pensive, is just 6 months, though you wouldn’t believe it from the loads of wispy hair on her head. Isn’t it just too much cuteness!

Jack & Olivia {siblings} 9

This is my third time photographing this pair. The first time I met them Olivia was just a toddler and Jack was an energetic 4 year old. Now look how they’ve grown! These two were absolute angels for me; so cooperative and smiley. Laughter, balloons, twirling, jumping, and snuggling. It was the perfect little shoot with these two cuties.

Elena {growing} 31

This photoshoot was extra fun since Elena got to come over to my house to play! Nearly two-year-old Elena was obsessed with a party hat I’d pulled out, and was willing to cooperate as long as I was willing to wear it. So at the expense of looking like a clown, I was able to get some sweet shots of this little one. Isn’t she absolutely gorgeous?!

Mini Sessions {just plain fun} 3

I embarked on my first set of mini-sessions. Nine in all. It was a fun and totally exhausting day. And I was uber grateful that Hurricane Sandy didn’t visit until two days after the sessions were complete. As side note, everyone rocked the outfits that day- colorful, stylish, fab! C Family {love} 2

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family of four a couple of different times. A highlight for me when photographing this sweet family is getting to hang out with Sam. Their five-year-old has the vocabulary of an eighteen-year-old and a gregarious personality that I can’t get enough of. You can see from the pictures that he stole the show. And it doesn’t hurt that he has a cutie-pie for a sister and a really great mom and dad!

Spending time with the M family was an absolute delight! It felt like a big play-date that I happened to have a camera to capture. There was the cheery Aubrey with an independent flare and the goofy Maren who was determined to read to everyone and declared everything we did “amazing”. The smiles and love you see in these photos are a genuine capture of how they treated each other.

W Family {love} 3

After having to re-schedule because of snow(!) in October(!) in Virginia(!), I met up with the W family on a beautiful and far warmer afternoon this week. Mom and Dad were friendly and great to work with, but my favorite part was hanging out with the two little guys that reminded me of my sons just a few years back. There was a lot of tickling, sprinting, car noises, and all the wonderful things that come with little boys. And as a big added bonus, they cooperated like champs!

Keira {6 months} 14

My husband asked me I as I got ready for the session, “Now, what baby are you photographing?”

I answered with the only four words that were necessary: “The Jelly Bean Baby”

That’s how little Miss Keira celebrated her grand entry into this world of ours- sitting in a bowl of jellybeans in front of my camera. So sticking with something normal for her six month shoot was absolutely out of the question…
