Laurie Ann {solo} 3

I had the privilege of getting to do a mini-session with Laurie Ann for a spot in the Down’s Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia calendar. Laurie Ann recently returned from the Special Olympics and is a talented athlete who plays basketball, soccer, and even golf. After having just gotten my hiney badly beat on the putt-putt course, I was especially impressed by hearing all of her golfing accomplishments including participating in a national tournament on a PGA course in Florida.

So brighten your day with Laurie Ann’s beautiful smile…

Corrie {solo} 21

On a dreary Saturday afternoon, Corrie’s smile lit up the camera. Some people are just naturals in front of the lens, and this blue-eyed beauty was one of them. She bashfully brushed off my sincere compliments; and the longer we spent together, the more I found that her beauty was an inside-shining-out kind.

So check out this lovely lady; and at the end of the post leave her some blog love.

John {solo} 20

Spending a couple of hours photographing a person, definitely gives you a chance to learn about who they are. After doing John’s high school senior portraits, I left hoping that one day my boys might grow up to be as kind and respectful as this young man. Also, I love it when someone knows how to laugh. And John was willing to laugh at himself, to laugh at my dumb jokes, and to laugh at the fact that having his portrait done wasn’t up on his top ten list of things he would want to do.

Thanks, John, for putting up with all of my antics and being such a good sport!
