On Saturday I was in full photographer mode. In my mind I had a checklist of all my props and photo ideas for the newborn shoot I was about to do. I finished setting up and went to pick my little model up from her cradle. Suddenly, she let out that beautiful noise of a newborn cry and all my mental checklists melted away as I was flooded with auntie feelings. I was overwhelmed by the fact that I was about to have the joy of photographing my first niece.
So, more as an aunt than a photographer, I’m proud to show off my BEAUTIFUL new niece Veronica. I already love you so much, girlie!
This next photo cracks me up like nobody’s business because her eyes remind me so much of my little brother’s (her daddy’s) intense face…

I think the last picture speaks so much of the wonderful, safe, and loving family into which dear Veronica has been born. It is just stunning – and I love the ‘just so’ stories – they ,are old and tender, not like dora, disney princesses, etc. She definititly looks like a Helms, but I think her mother’s brow and hair. Congratulations to the parents!
